Hello,

Your question caught my eye since I blog for SunButter, a peanut butter substitute made from sunflower seeds. We're always looking for other nut-free resources and accurate info, too!

Here is a great tool from AllergyEats to search for restaurants that fit your food allergies. You can search by area and specifically for peanut-free spots.

Also, here's a resource we've used from the team over at Food Allergy Research and Education:

I think you are going to find that there are no guarantees on this , Particularly if your child is a preschooler. Kids under five tend to kiss eachother and mouth toys and even grocery cart handles. if they have eaten peanuts or peanut butter ,snack foods or even some salad dressings , they could be exposing your daughter to peanuts, even hours after they ate it.

Restaurants try to accommodate allergies as much as they can , but I would be armed with an epi pen and speed dial on my phone.

No one can guarantee you that your daughter will be 100% safe in ANY restaurant. Best thing you can do is eat at home where YOU can control what she eats.

You can try calling local restaurants around you to find out how they deal with peanut allergies. But me telling you that my local Guiseppe's is peanut free is not going to do you any good.
